Government Accused of ‘Trial’ Against Leader Lamsal: Kantipur News

Kathmandu — The leader of the National Independent Party, Ravi Lamsal, has accused the government of conducting a ‘trial’ against him. Lamsal, who is also a business partner of Gorkha Media, expressed his concerns during a speech at the party office following the arrest of his business associate, Chhavi Lal Joshi.

Addressing the gathered party workers, Lamsal said, I have not fled. I am not hiding. I do not know what trial the government is looking for. There is no preparation for an arrest. I do not need the government’s sympathy, but I cannot find any injustice. Why should I have to go to the streets to save anyone’s politics?

Lamsal, who has been involved in politics for years, accused the government of intimidating him and others. This trial will not make me feel afraid, he said.

The incident follows the sudden arrest of Joshi, who was picked up from Gorkha Media after returning from a trip to China.
