Multiple Zhejiang-produced TV Series Win Outstanding TV Drama Awards
On September 21, the 34th TV Drama Feitian Award and the 28th TV Arts Starlight Award were announced in Xiamen, Fujian, according to a report in the Zhejiang Daily. The awards recognized 16 outstanding TV dramas and four individual awards for outstanding screenwriter, director, male actor, and female actor.
Among the winners, four Zhejiang-produced TV series stood out: This Decade of Us, The Courtyard of the County Committee, Crazy Speed, and The Long River Under Heaven. Additionally, Daughter of the Mountains, a joint production by the Central Television, the Publicity Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, the Publicity Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee, and Zhejiang Tian Guang Di Ying Film and Television Production Co., Ltd., and Go Where the Wind Blows, produced by Zhejiang-based Huace Group, also received the outstanding TV drama award. Wang Xiaoqiang, the screenwriter of The Courtyard of the County Committee, was honored with the award for outstanding screenwriter. Furthermore, the Zhejiang-produced documentary Riding the Storm won the award for outstanding TV documentary.
According to Yi Kai, the Secretary-General of the China Television Art Committee, the winning works of this year’s Feitian Award and Starlight Award represent the highest level of TV drama and TV arts production in the past two years in China, receiving widespread acclaim from audiences. In recent years, Zhejiang-produced TV dramas and Zhejiang film and television companies have consistently been present in the Feitian Award winners list.
