Changsha Police Report: No Prior Connection Found Between Victim and Suspects in LiuMoujie Murder Case

According to the policeinvestigation, the suspects were observed entering the residential complex at No. 1, Chengnan West Road, at 2:57 PM on September 18th. They left the complex at 12:27 AM on September 19th and spent the night in the stairwell of a hotelacross the street. At 6:49 AM and 7:07 AM, respectively, they returned to Building 2 and waited in the stairwell on the 13th floor.

When Liu Moujie left her apartment, the suspects allegedly attacked her with knives and forced her back into herhome. Surveillance footage captured Liu Moujie and Jiang Mou falling from the balcony at 9:12 AM. The balcony showed signs of a struggle. At 9:17 AM, Jiang Mouhui attempted to escape by tying two curtains together and using them to slide down to the 12th floor, but hefell to his death.

A thorough examination of Liu Moujie’s apartment revealed that furniture and clothing had been overturned. Two black backpacks containing tools such as a 3-meter nylon rope with hooks, rubber gloves, and pliers were found in the stairwell on the 13th floor.

Thepolice investigation concluded that there was no prior connection between Liu Moujie and her family and the two suspects. The case remains under investigation.
