The Guangxi region has announced a significant boost to its scrappage and new vehicle purchase incentives, offering up to 20,000 yuan in subsidies for individuals looking to upgrade their vehicles. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers’ Passenger Car Market Information Joint Committee has reported that the program, which was officially launched on September 4th, will expand the scope of Replacement with Old subsidies. In addition to personal passenger car replacement, the program now includes the purchase of certain new household appliances, electric bicycles, renovation of old houses, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and materials for home aging adaptation.
