Wuhan, China – The Wuhan Metro has successfully completed the network ticket testing for the Qianchuan Phase II project, marking a significant milestone in the development of the city’s public transportation infrastructure. The comprehensive testing phase was crucial to ensure the seamless integration of the new line’s automatic ticketing and checking system with the existing control center and fare clearing system, thereby enabling smooth operations and interconnectivity across the entire metro network.

The ticket testing involved staff members simulating passenger behavior by purchasing tickets and using card-based transit services between newly opened and existing stations. This process was designed to validate the functionality of the automated ticketing and checking equipment as well as the accuracy of related data. The testing covered all 12 existing metro lines in Wuhan, with participants at 19 stations using various ticketing methods, including single-trip tickets, stored-value cards, Wuhan cards, and national smart cards, among others.

According to a representative from the Communication Department of Wuhan Metro Co., Ltd., the network ticket testing encompassed 57 terminal devices across 19 stations on the 12 existing metro lines. This included automated ticket machines and automated checking machines, with a 100% match rate for transaction data. The successful completion of the testing confirmed the accuracy of the cross-line business functions and report data of the automatic ticketing and checking system and the fare clearing system of the Qianchuan Phase II project. It also verified the accuracy of the metro network’s operational parameters and fare tables, ensuring seamless business integration between the various systems.

The successful implementation of the network ticket testing signifies that the automatic ticketing and checking system of the Qianchuan Phase II project can now officially connect to the fare clearing system of the Wuhan Metro. This development is crucial for meeting the seamless transfer needs of passengers after the trial operation of the new line. It lays a solid foundation for the official opening of the Qianchuan Phase II project and provides technical support for the convenience of citizens’ travel.

The Qianchuan Phase II project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to expand and improve its public transportation network. The completion of the network ticket testing not only demonstrates the advanced technology and infrastructure in place for the Wuhan Metro but also underscores the commitment of the city to providing efficient and reliable public transportation for its residents.

The successful integration of the new line into the existing metro network is expected to significantly boost the city’s transportation capacity, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance the overall quality of life for citizens. As Wuhan continues to grow and develop, the expansion of its metro network will play a vital role in supporting the city’s economic and social progress.

In conclusion, the successful completion of the network ticket testing for the Wuhan Metro Line Qianchuan Phase II project is a testament to the city’s dedication to modernizing its public transportation infrastructure. The new line, once fully operational, will provide citizens with improved access to transportation and contribute to the overall development of the city.
