US Postpones Tariff Decision on Chinese-Manufactured Electric Vehicles

Washington, D.C. – The Biden administration has once again delayed the announcement of steep tariffs on Chinese-manufactured electric vehicles, batteries, semiconductors, and solar panels, according to a report by the Voice of America radio website on August 31. The spokesperson for the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) stated that the agency is continuing to develop the final determination on the proposed modification of tariffs imposed on Chinese goods in 2018 and 2019 by then-President Donald Trump.
