Zhejiang Releases 2024 Edition of Standard Map, Emphasizing National MapAwareness
Hangzhou, China – On August 29th,Zhejiang province held the main event for the 2024 Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day and National Map Awareness Week at the Zhejiang Natural History Museum, wherethe 2024 Edition of Zhejiang Province Standard Map was released.
This event marked the 21st National Surveying and Mapping Law Publicity Day. The Ministry of Natural Resources designated the theme Standardized Map Usage: Every Detail Matters for this year’s celebration. This initiative underscores the importance of promoting standardized map usage among the public, enhancing their awareness of national map consciousness,and comprehensively advancing the transformation and upgrading of surveying and geographic information.
The surveying and geographic information industry plays a crucial role in economic development, ecological protection, and safeguarding national security. It serves as a vital source of strategic data and a newtype of production factor.
Min Jianping, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Natural Resources, emphasized the government’s commitment to optimizing the business environment and invigorating the geographic information industry.
