Chinese Olympic Athletes Arrive in Hong Kong for Three-Day Visit

HONGKONG – A delegation of Chinese Olympic athletes from the Paris Games touched down atHong Kong International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, marking the start of a three-day visit to the city. The arrival was met with a warm welcome ceremony attended byrepresentatives from various sectors of Hong Kong society.

The delegation, led by Gao Zhi Dan, Director of the General Administration of Sport of China, comprises 65 athletes, including 59 gold medalists and six other outstanding athletes. They are accompanied by coaches and team leaders.

The delegation will participate in a welcome reception and dinner hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.   • Olympic Athletes Grand Show: This performance will take place on Thursday evening at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, showcasing the talents and achievements of the athletes.
  • Showcasing the Skills of Chinese Olympic Athletes: Two demonstration events will be held on Friday morning, featuring various sports including badminton, gymnastics, table tennis, diving, and swimming. These events will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium and the Victoria Park Swimming Pool.

The delegation will depart for Macau on Friday afternoon, continuing their tour of the Greater Bay Area.
