中柬青年交流再添新动力 汪文斌：为两国青年提供更多平台和机会
中新社金边8月23日电 (记者 杨强) 中国驻柬埔寨大使汪文斌当地时间23日在金边表示，中柬友好的根基在人民、未来在青年。中方将继续为柬方提供奖学金名额，支持“柬中友好青年之家”举办丰富多彩的活动，为两国青年交流提供更多平台和机会。
当天，2024“中柬人文交流年”青年联欢暨柬埔寨留华学生欢送会在金边举行，汪文斌和柬埔寨副首相兼教育青年体育部大臣韩春那洛出席并致辞。
汪文斌在致辞中强调，中柬两国人民世代友好，青年是两国关系的未来。他表示，中方将继续为柬埔寨学生提供奖学金，支持“柬中友好青年之家”举办更多活动，并将于下个月与柬青年联合会等机构共同举办中柬青年对话会，为两国青年交流搭建更多平台，鼓励更多青年投身中柬友好事业。
据悉，目前有超过1200名柬埔寨学生在中国26个省份100多所大学留学，他们申请的专业主要集中在工程、科技、金融等领域，直接服务于柬埔寨经济社会发展。汪文斌希望他们学有所成，归国后积极投身到建设祖国的伟大事业中去，成为国家发展的建设者和贡献者。
汪文斌还鼓励柬埔寨留学生在学习之余，多到中国各地走走看看，多结交中国朋友，充分感受真实、立体、可爱的中国，同时也向中国同学和朋友展示柬埔寨的悠久历史和灿烂文化，增进相互了解，成为中柬传统友谊的传承者和弘扬者。
柬埔寨副首相兼教育青年体育部大臣韩春那洛在致辞中表示，在中国求学将成为柬埔寨学子生涯中最有价值的经历。在那里不仅学到专业知识和技能，更重要的是，还将深入了解新时代中国人民的文化传承、科技进步以及社会经济发展，借鉴中国经验助推柬埔寨建设。他强调，柬埔寨留学生将成为国家发展的宝贵人才，也是柬中友谊世代相传的坚实支柱。
当天，包括博士生、硕士生、本科生在内的174名中国政府奖学金获得者受到现场全体与会者的祝福，他们将于近期分别赴北京、上海、广州、天津等中国各个城市的大学就读。汪文斌和韩春那洛为柬埔寨赴华留学生代表颁发录取通知书。
此次活动由中国驻柬埔寨大使馆、柬埔寨教育青年体育部主办，柬埔寨留华学生会承办。

Phnom Penh, August 23 (Xinhua) – Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin said on Wednesday that the foundation of China-Cambodia friendship lies inthe people and the future lies in the youth. He added that China will continue to provide scholarships to Cambodian students, support the “Cambodia-China Youth Friendship Home” to hold a variety of activities, and provide more platforms and opportunities for youth exchange between the two countries.
The remarks were made at the 2024 “China-Cambodia Cultural Exchange Year” Youth Gala and Farewell Party forCambodian Students Studying in China, held in Phnom Penh. Wang Wenbin and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron attended the event and delivered speeches.
Wang Wenbin emphasized that the people ofChina and Cambodia have been friendly for generations, and youth are the future of bilateral relations. He said that China will continue to provide scholarships for Cambodian students, support the “Cambodia-China Youth Friendship Home” to hold more activities, and will co-host a China-Cambodia Youth Dialogue with the Cambodian Youth Federation and otherinstitutions next month to build more platforms for youth exchange between the two countries and encourage more young people to engage in China-Cambodia friendship.
Currently, over 1,200 Cambodian students are studying at more than 100 universities in 26 provinces in China. Their majors are mainly concentrated in engineering, science, finance and other fields, directly serving Cambodia’s economic and social development. Wang Wenbin hopes that they will achieve academic success and actively contribute to the great cause of building their country after returning home, becoming builders and contributors to national development.
Wang Wenbin also encouraged Cambodian students to travel to various partsof China and make more Chinese friends during their studies, to fully experience the real, multifaceted, and lovable China. He also encouraged them to showcase Cambodia’s long history and brilliant culture to their Chinese classmates and friends, to enhance mutual understanding and become inheritors and promoters of the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia.
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron said in his speech that studying in China will be one of the most valuable experiences in the lives of Cambodian students. There, they will not only learn professional knowledge and skills, but more importantly, they will gain a deeper understanding ofthe cultural heritage, scientific and technological progress, and social and economic development of the Chinese people in the new era. They can learn from China’s experience to help build Cambodia. He stressed that Cambodian students will be valuable talents for national development and a solid pillar for the enduring friendship between Cambodia and China.
On theday, 174 recipients of Chinese government scholarships, including doctoral, master’s and undergraduate students, were blessed by all attendees. They will soon go to universities in various cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin. Wang Wenbin and Hang Chuon Naron presented admission notices to Cambodian studentsstudying in China.
The event was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and organized by the Cambodian Students Association in China.
