旅马大熊猫“兴兴”和“靓靓”喜迎18岁生日,当地民众:无法被取代
8月23日,同年同月同日生的大熊猫“兴兴”(又名“福娃”)和“靓靓”(又名“凤仪”),在马来西亚国家动物园迎来了18岁生日。这对旅马大熊猫凭借软萌可爱的样子,十年来深受马来西亚公众喜爱,它们吃得惯马来西亚产的竹子,也“听得懂”几句马来语,已然成为马中两国友谊的象征。

On August 23rd, Xing Xing (also known as Fuwa) and Liang Liang (also known asFengyi), two giant pandas born on the same day of the same month of the same year, celebrated their 18th birthday at the National Zoo ofMalaysia. This panda couple has captured the hearts of Malaysians over the past decade with their adorable demeanor. They have adapted well to the local diet, even enjoying Malaysian-grown bamboo, and have learned to understand a few Malay phrases, solidifying their status as a symbol of friendship between China and Malaysia.
Xing Xing and Liang Liang were chosen in 2008 to be exhibited at the Beijing Zoo, contributing to the excitement surrounding the Beijing Olympics. In 2014, marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, they embarked on a 10-year “overseas mission” as goodwill ambassadors of the Chinese people. To ensure a smoothtransition to their new home, the National Zoo of Malaysia sent keepers to Sichuan, China, to learn how to care for giant pandas.
