##中斐两国深化全面战略伙伴关系,共建“一带一路”合作成果丰硕

新华社北京8月20日电应中华人民共和国总理李强邀请,斐济总理西蒂维尼·兰布卡于2024年8月12日至21日对中国进行正式访问。访问期间,中华人民共和国主席习近平会见兰布卡总理,国务院总理李强同兰布卡总理举行会谈,全国人民代表大会常务委员会委员长赵乐际会见兰布卡总理。

此次访问成果丰硕,两国签署了联合声明,表明了中斐两国深化全面战略伙伴关系的坚定决心。双方一致认为,中斐建交49年来,双边关系取得长足发展,增进了两国和两国人民共同利益,也促进了亚太地区和平、稳定和繁荣。

联合声明强调,两国将继续秉持和平共处五项原则,深化中斐相互尊重、共同发展的全面战略伙伴关系。双方一致认为,国家不分大小、强弱、贫富一律平等,应尊重各国主权和领土完整,尊重各国人民自主选择符合本国国情的发展道路,恪守互不干涉内政原则。中方坚定支持斐方维护自身主权和独立。斐方坚定奉行一个中国原则,承认世界上只有一个中国,台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分,中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府。

双方在共建“一带一路”倡议方面取得了重要进展。中方将继续加强共建“一带一路”倡议同斐方发展战略对接,拓展基础设施、贸易投资、脱贫减贫、电子商务、民航、农渔业、教育设施、绿色低碳等领域务实合作。双方同意扩大双边贸易合作,增加斐济对华出口,鼓励中方投资斐济日益发展的旅游业和出口导向型行业,包括农产品加工设施和小众产品附加值、水产养殖等。

在基础设施领域,斐方赞赏中方承诺支持斐济瓦努阿岛(北岛)道路升级项目。中方将继续支持斐济在兰布卡总理领导下实现国家更好发展。

此外,双方还将加强各层级各领域交往,扩大政府部门、立法机构、地方之间的交流,开展治国理政和发展经验互鉴,持续深化政治互信。双方同意扩大旅游、教育、卫生、农业、海洋资源开发、能力建设、体育和文化推广等领域的交往合作。中方愿继续向斐方提供奖学金和各类培训名额,有针对性开展能力建设,愿为斐济发展中文教育提供支持。

此次访问标志着中斐两国关系进入新的发展阶段,双方将继续携手共进,共同推动两国全面战略伙伴关系取得更大发展,为维护地区和平稳定和共同发展繁荣作出积极贡献。

**News Content:** ## China and Fiji Deepen Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Jointly Building “Belt and Road” Initiative Yields Fruitful Results

BEIJING, August 20 (Xinhua) — At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka paid an official visit to China from August12 to 21, 2024. During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister Rabuka, Premier Li Qiang held talks with Prime Minister Rabuka, and Zhao Leji, Chairman of theStanding Committee of the National People’s Congress, met with Prime Minister Rabuka.

The visit yielded fruitful results, with the two countries signing a joint statement, demonstrating their firm determination to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership. Both sides agreed thatover the past 49 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have made significant progress, promoting the common interests of both countries and their peoples, and contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.

The joint statement emphasizes that the two countries will continue to uphold the Five Principlesof Peaceful Coexistence and deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of mutual respect and common development between China and Fiji. Both sides agree that all countries, regardless of size, strength, or wealth, are equal, and should respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, respect the right of each country’s people to choose adevelopment path that suits its national conditions, and abide by the principle of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs. China firmly supports Fiji in safeguarding its sovereignty and independence. Fiji firmly adheres to the One-China principle, recognizing that there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chineseterritory, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China.

Significant progress has been made in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. China will continue to strengthen the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Fiji’s development strategy, expanding practical cooperationin areas such as infrastructure, trade and investment, poverty reduction, e-commerce, civil aviation, agriculture and fisheries, education facilities, and green and low-carbon development. Both sides agree to expand bilateral trade cooperation, increase Fiji’s exports to China, encourage Chinese investment in Fiji’s growing tourism industry and export-oriented sectors, including agricultural processing facilities, niche product value-added, and aquaculture.

In the field of infrastructure, Fiji appreciates China’s commitment to supporting the road upgrade project in Vanua Levu (the northern island). China will continue to support Fiji’s national development under the leadership of Prime Minister Rabuka.

In addition, both sides will strengthen exchanges at all levels and in all areas, expand exchanges between government departments, legislative bodies, and localities, share governance and development experiences, and continue to deepen political mutual trust. Both sides agree to expand cooperation in areas such as tourism, education, health, agriculture, marineresource development, capacity building, sports, and cultural promotion. China is willing to continue providing scholarships and training opportunities to Fiji, carry out targeted capacity building, and provide support for the development of Chinese language education in Fiji.

This visit marks a new stage in China-Fiji relations. Both sides will continue to work togetherto achieve greater development in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and make positive contributions to maintaining regional peace and stability and promoting common development and prosperity.
