**Kyiv, August 19** – The Japanese government today provided a large mobile broadcast van to the Ukrainian Public Broadcasting Company (UA:PBC) to help the organization maintain and strengthenits programming amidst the ongoing Russian military invasion. The handover ceremony took place at the UA:PBC headquarters in Kyiv, with Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine, Kuninori Matsuda, in attendance and delivering a speech.

Ambassador Matsuda expressed his respect for Ukrainian journalists who are on the front lines of news coverage, continuously reporting on the Russian invasion. He highlighted the importance of the broadcast van, statingthat it “can enhance program production and broadcasting capabilities, ensuring that the Ukrainian people have access to timely and accurate information.”

The broadcast van was jointly provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the NHK Foundation, among others.
