BEIJING, Aug. 18, 2024 – Zhou Guangzhao, a former Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC), former President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and recipient of the Two Bombs and a Satellite Merit Medal, passed away in Beijing on August 17, 2024, at the age of 95.
Zhou Guangzhao was a distinguished representative of theoretical physics. He was the first to propose the helical amplitude of particles internationally and established the corresponding mathematical methods, making significant contributions to the field of physics.
