The Heptang Qin is a traditional musical art form of China’s sole maritime ethnic group, the Jing people, known for its unique technique of “one string for a hundred sounds,” making it an indispensable art form in the daily life of the Jing people. Tang Jiaxia has been learning the Heptang Qin since childhood and has a 13-year career in the art of the qin.
