### Premier Li Qiang Meets with President of East Timor, Deepening Bilateral Friendly Cooperation
On the afternoon of July 28, 2024, Premier of the State Council, Li Qiang, warmly received President of East Timor, Francisco Guterres Lobo, who was on a state visit to China. The meeting aimed to strengthen political trust and practical cooperation between the two countries, and to propel the bilateral relationship to a deeper level.
In the meeting, Premier Li Qiang stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, both countries have adhered to the principle of mutual understanding and support, with their political trust continuously deepening and practical cooperation yielding significant results. He emphasized that President of China, Xi Jinping, would hold a meeting with President Lobo to chart the strategic direction for future cooperation.
