中新网柳州5月23日电(韦维)由广西柳州市红十字会医院8名眼科医护人员组成的第六批广西医疗队,目前正在老挝占巴塞省开展“共享基金会消除白内障致盲项目”医疗任务。截至5月19日,医疗队累计完成108例白内障复明手术,术后患者视力大部分达到0.6以上,部分患者视力甚至恢复至正常水平。

此次医疗队的工作得到了老挝当地政府和人民的高度评价,同时也体现了中国医疗团队的专业能力和人道主义精神。广西医疗队队员们在艰苦的条件下,克服了语言沟通障碍和医疗设备限制,凭借精湛的医术和高度的责任心,成功为百余名老挝眼疾患者带来了光明。

(Xinhua News Agency, Liuzhou, May 23) – The sixth batch of Guangxi medical team, consisting of eight ophthalmologists from the Red Cross Hospital of Liuzhou City, is currently carrying out medical missions at the “Shared Foundation Elimination of Cataract Blindness Project” in Xa Bang Fai Province, Laos. As of May 19, the medical team has completed 108 cataract surgery procedures, which have significantly improved the vision of patients, with most of them achieving a visual acuity of 0.6 or higher, and some even regaining normal vision.

The medical team’s work has received high praise from the local Laotian government and people, and it reflects the professional capabilities and humanitarian spirit of the Chinese medical team. Despite working under challenging conditions, including language barriers and limitations in medical equipment, the team members, through their exceptional medical skills and strong sense of responsibility, successfully brought light to over a hundred Laotian patients with eye diseases.
