BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) — The Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) recently launched an investigation into Fang Zhixiu’s serious discipline and law violation case. After the investigation, Fang was found to have violated the Party’s political discipline, the Central Committee’s eight-point regulations and other Party regulations, forming a public office offense and being suspected of criminal offenses. Furthermore, Fang failed to restrain himself post the 18th National Congress of the CPC, leading to severe nature and negative influence of the case. The Party and government will handle the case with utmost seriousness.
The CCDI has decided to expel Fang from the Party for his serious disciplinary and legal violations. The National Supervisory Commission also stripped Fang of his public office.
