BEIJING, March 14 (Xinhua) — Since its establishment, the Beijing Internet Court has handled 23,792 cases related to online consumption as of Dec. 31, 2023, including 18,103 disputes over information network sales contracts, 1,780 product liability cases, and 3,909 network service contract disputes. The court has also handled 67 cases involving “seven-day no-reason returns.”

These cases reflect the rapid development of e-commerce and the increasing number of issues in the online consumption field. While enjoying the convenience of online shopping, consumers are also facing various risks such as false advertising, quality issues, and inadequate services.
