中国呼吁国际社会推动加沙立即停火
联合国纽约3月5日电（记者 王帆）中国常驻联合国副代表耿爽5日在联大关于否决权使用问题会议上发言，呼吁国际社会以最强的紧迫感和最大的政治决心推动在加沙立即停火、结束冲突，为加沙民众保留生存下去的希望。
耿爽表示，当前加沙局势令人担忧。国际社会必须采取切实行动，防止局势进一步恶化，避免更多无辜平民伤亡。
耿爽强调，停火是解决加沙问题的当务之急。国际社会应共同努力，促使冲突各方立即停火，为政治解决创造条件。同时，国际社会应向加沙提供人道主义援助，帮助受冲突影响的民众。
耿爽指出，中国始终支持巴勒斯坦人民的正义事业。中方支持巴勒斯坦人民建立一个以1967年边界为基础、以东耶路撒冷为首都、拥有完全主权的独立巴勒斯坦国。中方支持国际社会为推动巴以和平进程所作的努力，呼吁有关各方共同努力，早日实现巴以和平共处。

UNITED NATIONS, March 5 (Xinhua) — China on Fridaycalled on the international community to push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza with the utmost urgency and political determination, in order to end the conflict and save the lives of the people in Gaza.
“The current situation in Gaza is worrying,” said Geng Shuang, China’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, ata UN General Assembly meeting on the use of veto.
The international community must take concrete actions to prevent the situation from further deteriorating and avoid more innocent civilian casualties, Geng said.
A ceasefire is the top priority for resolving the Gaza issue, Geng stressed. The international community should work together to urge the conflicting parties to cease fire immediately and create conditions for a political solution.
Meanwhile, the international community should provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza and help the people affected by the conflict, he said.
China has always supported the just cause of the Palestinian people, Geng said. China supports the Palestinian people in establishing an independent Palestinian state with fullsovereignty based on the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
China supports the international community’s efforts to promote the peace process between Palestine and Israel, and calls on all parties concerned to work together to achieve peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel as soon as possible, he said.
