UN Secretary-General Guterres delivered a speech at the Davos Forum, appealing to governments and business leaders around the world to make global strategies on artificial intelligence a priority, in order to tackle the dual threats it poses. He warned that the rapid development of AI could lead to “severe and unexpected consequences”. Guterres was quite pessimistic about this and believed a global risk management system must be established.
