The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning about the potential outbreak of a mysterious “X disease,” stating that the question is not if, but when the next pandemic will occur. Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has called for preparations to address the “X disease.”
世界卫生组织官网的消息显示，谭德塞在一次公开演讲中表示，虽然目前对于“X疾病”的具体信息知之甚少，但它的潜在威胁不容忽视。他要求各国政府及卫生组织加强监测和应对措施，同时提醒国际社会应提高对于大流行病防控的意识。
According to the WHO’s official website, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that although little is known about the specific “X disease,” its potential threat should not be underestimated. He called on governments and health organizations to strengthen monitoring and response measures and reminded the international community to raise awareness of pandemic prevention and control.
谭德塞强调，历史上的经验教训表明，忽视对于未知疾病的预警和防范，将可能带来严重的后果。因此，各国应充分利用现有的卫生资源，加强国内外的信息共享和协作，共同抵御可能到来的疫情威胁。
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized that historical experience shows that neglecting to warn and prevent unknown diseases can lead to severe consequences. Therefore, countries should make full use of existing health resources, strengthen information sharing and cooperation at home and abroad, and jointly resist the potential threat of the disease.
