According to a report from the Beijing生态环境微信公众号, the significant reduction in annual average concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region over the past decade is a testament to the region’s improved environmental quality. Compared to 2013, the decrease in PM2.5 concentrations in the three areas has been approximately 60%. Additionally, the substantial reduction in days with heavy pollution and the significant increase in days with good air quality reflect the substantial progress made in ecological and environmental protection in the region.
