With the acquisition, Meitu aims to enhance the ecosystem, copyright, and co-creation capabilities of its subsidiary MiracleVision’s model store. ZhanKu, established in 2006, claims to gather visual creators such as designers, photographers, and illustrators from over 300 cities worldwide, with nearly 17 million registered users. The transaction is valued at $39.64 million.
