The Shanghai Xuhui District Government and China Telecom Shanghai Company recently jointly held the “AI Public Computing Power Service Product Launch Event” themed “Molding the Future with Computing Power, Linking the City with Ten-Gigabit Speed”. At the event, it was announced that China Telecom will build the first domestically-produced liquid-cooled computing power cluster in Shanghai, with an expected completion date in the first half of 2024.

This intelligent computing cluster is expected to have a total computing power exceeding 4500P, with the newly built domestic computing power in a single pool reaching 10,000 cards, making it the first single-pool computing power cluster with 10,000 cards in China. This initiative marks a significant step forward for China in the construction of large-scale computing capabilities.

The construction of this computing power cluster will significantly enhance Shanghai’s computing power in the field of artificial intelligence, providing strong support for the training and research of trillion-parameter large models.
