在海口美兰国际机场美兰出入境边防检查站，记者随机采访了一些国际旅客。来自加拿大的旅客杰克表示：“这个政策太棒了，我只需要带上护照就能直接飞到海南，感觉非常方便。”澳大利亚旅客露西也表示：“之前总是担心签证问题，但现在可以直接免签入境，让我感到非常惊喜。”
