With the establishment of its new AI division NextEvo, Ant Group, a Chinese financial technology giant, has brought on board Xu Peng, a former Google engineer with a strong technical background, to lead the initiative. Xu, who spent 11 years at Google, brings experience in core technology development for Google Translate and algorithm research for Google’s display advertising system. His expertise is set to inject new vitality into Ant Group’s AI technology development.
As the elite AI division within Ant Group, NextEvo is tasked with all the core technology research and development in the field of artificial intelligence, including the development of the much-anticipated Ant Bailing Large Model.
