Tsinghua University and Harvard University have jointly developed a new AI system called LangSplat. This system can efficiently and accurately search for open-ended vocabulary in 3D spaces, providing a more precise way to describe 3D scenes. LangSplat is the first 3D language field method based on 3DGS, innovatively introducing SAM and CLIP technologies, which surpasses the most advanced methods in open-ended 3D object localization and semantic segmentation tasks. More astonishingly, LangSplat is 199 times faster than LERF, greatly improving work efficiency.
