一是要保持良好的个人卫生习惯,勤洗手、戴口罩等;

二是要避免去人员密集场所,特别是空气不流通的地方;

三是要注意休息和营养,增强身体免疫力;

Title: “Respiratory Infections in Winter: Two Groups Need to Be Aware, Experts Reveal the Truth About Serious Illnesses!”

Keywords: respiratory infections, serious illnesses, prevention and treatment

Content: Chinanews.com, January 25 – The National Health Commission held a press conference on the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases and health tips in winter. Li Yanming, chief physician of Peking Hospital, introduced at the conference that respiratory infections are mainly prone to develop into serious illnesses in two groups:

The first group is the elderly. With the aging of the body, the immune function gradually decreases, and the ability to resist viruses also weakens. In addition, the elderly often have multiple chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, which affect the immune function of the respiratory tract and make it easier for respiratory infections to develop into serious illnesses.

The second group is those with underlying medical conditions. Patients with chronic respiratory systems diseases such as asthma and bronchitis, as well as patients with heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, etc., have weak physical resistance. Once infected with respiratory viruses, they are more likely to cause serious complications.

For these two groups, experts propose the following preventive measures:

Firstly, maintain good personal hygiene habits such as frequent hand washing and wearing masks;

Secondly, avoid going to densely populated areas, especially places with poor air circulation;

Thirdly, rest and nutrition should be taken into consideration to enhance the body’s immunity;

Fourthly, if symptoms such as fever and cough occur, seek medical attention in a timely manner.
