中新社北京1月12日电 (记者 阮煜琳)记者12日从中国生态环境部气候变化事务办公室获悉，为落实中美元首旧金山会晤共识，合作应对气候变化，中美“21世纪20年代强化气候行动工作组”启动会12日以视频形式召开。此次会议标志着中美两国在气候变化领域的合作进入新阶段。
会议上，中美双方表示将共同努力，推动全球气候治理，落实巴黎协定。尽管解振华卸任中国气候变化事务特使，但中美双方均表示，将继续保持沟通与合作，为全球应对气候变化作出贡献。
解振华在任期间，积极推动中美气候合作，促进两国在气候变化问题上的交流与对话。他的卸任并不意味着中美气候合作的停滞，而是双方在气候变化领域合作的新起点。
据悉，中美“21世纪20年代强化气候行动工作组”将围绕减缓气候变化、适应气候变化、低碳技术与创新、能源转型、森林与土地利用等领域开展合作。双方将通过工作组机制，加强在联合国气候变化大会等多边场合的协调与配合，共同应对全球气候变化挑战。
