BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a routine press conference on Tuesday that China has not received any reports of casualties among its citizens in Ecuador.
Mao Ning said that China is paying close attention to the development of the situation in Ecuador and has communicated with the Ecuadorian side to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in the country. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the safety of its citizens overseas and will closely follow the situation of Chinese nationals in Ecuador, providing necessary assistance to those who need it.
