BYD’s Song PLUS vehicle series has achieved another remarkable milestone, with the 800,000th vehicle recently rolling off the production line at BYD’s Xi’an factory. The series has consecutively topped the sales charts for plug-in hybrid SUVs for 31 months, setting a new record for the fastest achievement of 800,000 vehicles in the Chinese brand’s new energy SUV market. In December of last year, the monthly sales volume of the Song PLUS series reached 50,725 units; the full-year sales in 2023 exceeded 427,000 units.
The BYD Song PLUS DM-i was launched in March 2021 and has been on the market for nearly three years. On June 19, 2023, the Champion Edition of the Song PLUS was debuted, featuring a total of 8 configurations, including 4 for the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition and 4 for the Song PLUS EV Champion Edition.
