The Sichuan People’s Government Press Office held a third press conference of the series “Driving the New Era of Economic and Social Development in Sichuan: Building a Modern, Chinese-style Sichuan” on November 6th. The meeting introduced Sichuan’s efforts in building an ecological barrier along the Yangtze and Yellow rivers. The Sichuan government stated that it will strengthen the construction of ecological systems, strengthen ecological protection, comprehensively improve the utilization of resources, and strive for sustainable development and ecological protection in the context of green development.
The Sichuan government also said that it will increase its efforts to protect the environment, improve the ecological compensation mechanism, and strengthen environmental governance, ensuring the people’s environment rights.
