Beijing, March 20, 2025 (China News Network) – In a groundbreaking move to address the growing concern of weight abnormalities, the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has launched an integrated treatment center combining the strengths of both Traditional Chinese and Western medical practices. This innovative approach aims to provide comprehensive and scientifically grounded solutions for weight management.

Weight issues require a scientific and systematic management approach, and professional medical institutions should play a greater role, stated officials from the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The newly established Weight Management-Obesity Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment Center, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, marks a significant step forward in tackling the complexities of weight-related health problems. The center will leverage the unique advantages of both TCM and Western medicine to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.

According to Liu Zhongxun, Party Secretary of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the center will incorporate TCM principles such as regulating Qi and clearing turbidity alongside modern medical diagnostics and treatments. This integrated approach aims to address the root causes of weight abnormalities, considering individual factors such as lifestyle, genetics, and underlying health conditions.

The establishment of this center reflects a growing recognition of the need for holistic and comprehensive weight management strategies. By combining the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine with the advancements of modern Western medicine, the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is paving the way for more effective and sustainable solutions to combat weight abnormalities and promote overall health and well-being.
