Seoul, South Korea – South Korea is making a bold move to establish itself as a global leader in the burgeoning field of quantum technology. On March 12th, the acting President and Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Finance, Choi Sang-mok, convened the inaugural meeting of the Quantum Strategy Committee, signaling the nation’s commitment to harnessing the power of quantum mechanics for economic growth and technological advancement.

The Quantum Strategy Committee, comprised of eleven experts from industry, academia, and research institutions, alongside seven ministerial-level government officials including Minister of Science and ICT, Lee Jong-Ho, will serve as the central decision-making body for quantum-related policies.
