Beijing, March 2nd, 2025 (Xinhua) – The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the nation’s top political advisory body, has released the list of its Secretary-General and Deputy Secretaries-General for the upcoming Third Session of the 14th National Committee. The announcement, made today, signals preparations are well underway for the important annual gathering.
The list was approved during the 10th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on March 2nd, 2025.
The leadership lineup is as follows:
- Secretary-General: Wang Dongfeng
- Deputy Secretaries-General: Zou Jiayi (female), Li Huidong (Hui ethnicity), Han Jianhua (Salar ethnicity)
The CPPCC plays a crucial role in China’s political landscape, serving as a platform for multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
