Seoul, South Korea – February 28, 2025 – Shin Jin-seo, the prodigious South Korean Go player, has added another prestigious title to his burgeoning resume, winning the inaugural Nanyang Cup World Masters Go Tournament in Singapore. The victory, secured on February 28th, marks Shin’s eighth world championship, placing him among the pantheon of Go legends.

The final, a best-of-three series, saw Shin Jin-seo pitted against Wang Xinghao, a formidable Chinese player. The decisive second game, held in Singapore, was a tense affair.
