Shenzhen, China – Transsion Holdings’ Infinix brand is set to roll out the full-fledged version of DeepSeek-R1 AI model across its devices, bringing advanced AI capabilities to its global user base. The announcement, made on February 21st, marks a significant step in Infinix’s commitment to providing intelligent and efficient information retrieval and processing services.
Starting February 26th, Infinix models running XOS 14.5 and above will be able to access DeepSeek-R1 through a software update. The upcoming NOTE series, slated for release in March, will also feature the integration.
Infinix is leveraging DeepSeek-R1 to enhance its Folax voice assistant. Users can activate the Deepseek-R1 deep thinking mode within the Folax interface, enabling them to utilize the AI model’s powerful functionalities through voice or text commands. This integration promises a more intuitive and efficient user experience.
This move is part of Infinix’s broader Infinix AI∞ Beta All-Scenario Strategy. The company plans to showcase its comprehensive AI technology ecosystem, encompassing gaming, lifestyle, AI-powered smartphones, and AIoT devices, at its inaugural vertical-screen AI Spring Launch event in late March. The Infinix AI∞ Lab will be at the heart of this showcase.
IT Home previously reported that Infinix is scheduled to launch its Note 50 series on March 3rd.
