Lynk & Co, the global automotive brand co-owned by Geely and Volvo, has officially released more details about its highly anticipated 900 flagship SUV. Boasting cutting-edge technology and a striking design, the Lynk & Co 900 is poised to make a splash in the competitive SUV market when it launches in the second quarter of this year. The vehicle is particularly notable for its advanced infotainment system, powered by dual Snapdragon 8295 chips and featuring dual 30-inch 6K screens, one in the front and one in the rear.

A Technological Powerhouse on Wheels

The Lynk & Co 900 sets itself apart with its commitment to technological innovation. The dual Snapdragon 8295 intelligent cockpit chips, an industry first in its class, provide a staggering CPU computing power of 220K DIMPS each. This allows the front and rear screens to operate independently, supporting seamless multitasking. With an AI computing power of 60TOPS, deeply integrated with DeepSeek, the 900 promises a truly intelligent and responsive user experience.

The centerpiece of the interior is undoubtedly the dual 30-inch 6K giant screens, boasting a 32:10 aspect ratio and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification for eye comfort. These screens support a range of functions, including inter-screen linking, streaming, split-screen operation, and shared-screen viewing, offering unparalleled flexibility for both driver and passengers.

Beyond the screens, the Lynk & Co 900 features a unique full-width interactive technology display, incorporating 10,192 LED beads. This display offers 32 levels of grayscale, creating a naked-eye 3D effect and providing customizable intelligent scene lighting for welcome sequences, driving alerts, parking assistance, and more. The intelligent flowing light interactive taillights further enhance communication, conveying information about lane changes, autonomous driving status, welcome sequences, and charging status, along with a customizable text display feature.

Bold Design and Impressive Dimensions

The Lynk & Co 900 EM-P plug-in hybrid flagship SUV has already made an appearance at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China. It will be available in five distinct exterior colors: Midnight Black, Cloud Grey, Dawn Blue, First Light White, and Sunburst Silver. The design language, dubbed The NEXT Day, features a waterfall-style active air intake grille and split headlights with an active interactive digital pixel technology lighting system that supports custom light language. Customers can choose between 20-inch and 21-inch wheels.

The vehicle’s dimensions are equally impressive, measuring 5240mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1810mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3160mm. These dimensions position the Lynk & Co 900 as a substantial and spacious SUV, offering ample room for passengers and cargo.

Powertrain Options for Diverse Needs

The Lynk & Co 900 will be offered with three powertrain options, all based on plug-in hybrid technology:

    1. 0T + DHT Pro + P4 electric motor
    1. 0T + DHT Pro + dual P4 electric motors
    1. 5T + DHT Evo + P4 electric motor

The single P4 electric motor configuration delivers a maximum power of 230 kW, while the dual P4 electric motor setup provides 150 kW per motor. This variety of powertrain options allows customers to choose the configuration that best suits their driving needs and preferences.

Conclusion

The Lynk & Co 900 flagship SUV is a bold statement of intent from the Chinese automaker. With its cutting-edge technology, striking design, and diverse powertrain options, the 900 is poised to challenge established players in the premium SUV segment. The vehicle’s emphasis on connectivity, intelligent features, and driver-assistance systems reflects the growing demand for technologically advanced vehicles. As the Lynk & Co 900 prepares to launch in the second quarter of this year, it will be interesting to see how it is received by consumers and how it impacts the competitive landscape of the SUV market.
