Kathmandu, Nepal – The vibrant city of Kathmandu is currently playing host to the first-ever Swayambhu Cultural Festival, which kicked off on February 22nd and will continue to captivate attendees until March 1st. The festival, a celebration of local culture and entrepreneurship, is taking place in Ward 15 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the very area that houses the iconic Swayambhunath Temple.

The festival showcases a diverse array of handcrafted goods, locally grown agricultural products, and other unique items crafted by entrepreneurs and community groups from the region. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Nepali culture through displays of traditional clothing, intricate wood carvings, fresh produce, and a variety of other local specialties.

This inaugural event not only provides a platform for local artisans and farmers to showcase their talents and products but also offers a unique opportunity for both residents and tourists to experience the cultural richness of the Swayambhu area. The festival aims to promote local businesses, strengthen community bonds, and preserve the cultural heritage of this historic part of Kathmandu.
