Guangzhou, China – Xpeng Motors, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, announced that its P7+ model will soon be compatible with iPhone NFC keys. The feature is currently undergoing adaptation and certification, with an expected rollout in the first half of 2025.

The announcement was made in the 13th edition of Xpeng P7+ Answers to User Questions, where the company addressed user concerns and provided updates on various features.

Key Highlights from the Announcement:

  • iPhone NFC Key Support: iOS users will be able to use their iPhones as NFC keys to unlock and lock their Xpeng P7+ vehicles. This feature is currently in the adaptation and certification phase and is expected to be available in the first half of 2025. Currently, the iOS system supports two digital key functions: App remote control unlocking and Bluetooth keyless unlocking.

  • Karaoke Feature: Responding to user demand, Xpeng Motors is developing a karaoke feature for the P7+. The feature is expected to be released in the upcoming OTA 5.6 update.

  • Smart Temperature Control: The P7+ already supports smart temperature control through its intelligent scene function. The system automatically adjusts the air conditioning based on the vehicle’s temperature. Xpeng Motors also hinted at more advanced temperature control features planned for future OTA updates.

  • Screen Control While Resting: Users can now turn off the central control screen and rear screen without turning off the air conditioning. This feature allows passengers to rest comfortably without being disturbed by the screens.

  • External Power Supply: The Xpeng P7+ supports external power supply with a maximum power of 3 kilowatts. The external power supply function will continue to work after the car is locked. However, the external power supply will not work if the vehicle is locked or not energized with high voltage.

The addition of iPhone NFC key support and other new features demonstrates Xpeng Motors’ commitment to enhancing the user experience and staying ahead of the competition in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.

Looking Ahead:

Xpeng Motors continues to invest in research and development to bring innovative features to its vehicles. The company’s focus on user feedback and continuous improvement positions it as a key player in the global electric vehicle industry.
