Harbin, China – In a stunning display of skill and athleticism, South Korean snowboarders Lee Chae-un and Kang Dong-hun secured gold and bronze medals respectively in the men’s slopestyle final at the Asian Winter Games held in Yabuli, Harbin on February 8th.
Lee Chae-un, a rising star in the snowboarding world, clinched the gold medal with an impressive score of 90 points. Kang Dong-hun followed with a score of 74, earning him the bronze. China’s Liu Haoyu took home the silver medal.
Lee, only 18 years old, has quickly established himself as a versatile snowboarder, excelling in halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air disciplines. His victory at the 2023 Snowboarding World Championships at the age of 16 years and 10 months made him the youngest-ever champion in the halfpipe event.
