Guangzhou, China (February 6, 2025) – As the Spring Festival holiday concludes, Guangzhou railway stations under the jurisdiction of the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau are experiencing a surge in return passenger traffic. According to a statement released today by the Bureau, the peak of this influx occurred on February 4th, with a staggering 1.22 million passengers arriving and departing. While overall passenger flow is beginning to stabilize, the number of travelers returning to Guangzhou remains high.

The Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau has deployed significant resources to ensure the safety and order of this massive movement of people. This includes increased police presence at stations, enhanced security checks, and coordinated efforts with railway staff to manage crowds and provide assistance to passengers.

Our priority is to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for everyone, stated a spokesperson for the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau. We are working diligently to maintain order, prevent crime, and assist passengers with any needs they may have.

The Bureau urges travelers to allow ample time for travel to the station, to be aware of their belongings, and to cooperate with security personnel. With the combined efforts of law enforcement and railway staff, the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau is committed to facilitating a smooth and secure return journey for all passengers after the Spring Festival holiday.
