Taipei, Taiwan – The 2025 Taipei International Book Exhibition opened its doors on February 4th, showcasing a diverse collection of literary works from across the globe. Among the highlights of the event is the Simplified Chinese Pavilion, established by Taiwan-based Huapin Cultural and Creative Publishing Company, which features over 3,300 titles and nearly 10,000 volumes of the latest high-quality books from mainland China.

According to a China News Service (CNS) reporter on the scene, the Simplified Chinese Pavilion boasts a wide array of simplified Chinese books, spanning genres such as literature, social sciences, and animation. The selection caters to a broad readership, with a particular appeal to younger audiences.

The presence of such a substantial collection of mainland Chinese books at the Taipei International Book Exhibition underscores the ongoing cultural exchange and intellectual engagement between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Despite political complexities, the exhibition provides a valuable platform for readers in Taiwan to access and appreciate the literary landscape of mainland China.

The event not only facilitates the dissemination of knowledge and ideas but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives. By showcasing a wide range of literary works, the Taipei International Book Exhibition contributes to a vibrant and inclusive cultural environment, promoting dialogue and exchange across borders.

The Simplified Chinese Pavilion serves as a testament to the enduring power of literature to bridge divides and connect people through shared stories and ideas. As the exhibition continues, it is expected to draw significant attention from book lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike, further strengthening the bonds of intellectual and cultural exchange between Taiwan and mainland China.
