Google’s Gemini Live Goes Free for All Android Users, Enabling AI Voice Chat
Mountain View, California – Google has announced the free rollout of its AI-powered voice chatservice, Gemini Live, for all English-speaking Android users. This move follows a month-long exclusive period for Advanced subscribers.
Previously launched alongside the Pixel9 series in August, Gemini Live offers a conversational experience that allows users to engage in natural, flowing dialogues with Google’s Gemini AI. The service is considered adirect competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT Advanced Voice mode, which is currently in limited Alpha testing.
Gemini Live utilizes an enhanced voice engine to enable more coherent, emotionally expressive, and realistic multi-turn conversations. The service can beused for a wide range of tasks, from simulating job interviews to providing speech-writing tips.
