BYD’s Premium Brand Denza Enters Thailand, D9 Orders Surpass 250,000

Bangkok, Thailand – Following its successfullaunches in Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Singapore, BYD’s premium brand Denza has officially entered the Thai market, marking its fourth foray into the Asia-Pacific region. The move signifies Denza’s ambitious expansion strategy and its confidence in the growing electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia.

Denza’s flagshipmodel, the D9, will be the first vehicle to hit Thai roads. The D9, a luxurious electric MPV, will be available in two variants: Premium and Premium-AWD, priced at 1,999,900 Thai baht (approximately 421,000 Chinese yuan) and 2,699,900 Thai baht (approximately 568,000 Chinese yuan), respectively.

Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, the Denza D9 boasts a range of advanced features. It utilizes the company’s renowned Blade Battery technology and DiSus-C intelligent damping suspension platform. The Premium-AWD version offers a maximum NEDC range of 580 kilometers.

The D9’s impressive dimensions, exceeding 5.25 meters in length, are complemented by a powerful four-wheel drive system that delivers a maximum output of 275kW (approximately 368 horsepower) and a peak torque of 470 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds.

Inside, the D9 pampers passengers with top-of-the-line NAPPA leather seats, including zero-gravity massage functionality for the second-row executive seats. The luxurious experience is further enhanced by a 14-speakerintelligent sound system crafted by renowned Danish audio brand Dynaudio.

Denza’s entry into the Thai market is expected to shake up the premium electric vehicle segment. With its impressive features, luxurious interior, and competitive pricing, the D9 is poised to attract discerning buyers in Thailand seeking a premium and sustainable mobility solution.
