BioWare has confirmed that there are currently no plansfor downloadable content (DLC) for the recently released Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, with the studio’s full attention now focused on the development of the nextMass Effect game.

The news comes as Dreadwolf, which launched on October 31st, has received mixed reviews from players. While somehave praised its story and characters, others have criticized its technical issues and gameplay. The game’s Steam rating currently sits at 77%, indicating a polarized reception.

In an interview, BioWare Creative Director John Epler stated that theteam is completely focused on the next Mass Effect title. This confirmation follows previous announcements detailing the ambitious scope of the project, including the use of Unreal Engine 5 for enhanced visuals and the integration of MetaHuman technology for creatinglifelike characters.

Furthermore, the upcoming Mass Effect will deviate from the open-world design of Mass Effect: Andromeda, opting for a return to the series’ classic gameplay style. This shift suggests a focus on tighter narrative experiences and more traditional gameplay mechanics, potentially drawing inspiration from the beloved Mass Effect trilogy.

While the news of no Dreadwolf DLC may disappoint some fans, it underscores BioWare’s commitment to delivering a high-quality next-gen Mass Effect experience. The studio’s decision to prioritize this project reflects the significant expectations surrounding the franchise’s return.

Itremains to be seen how Dreadwolf will fare in the long run, but BioWare’s dedication to the next Mass Effect suggests a significant investment in the future of the beloved sci-fi series.
