ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode Now Available on Windows and Mac, Making Conversations More Natural
OpenAI announced today that ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode (AVM)is now available on Windows and Mac platforms. This feature, powered by OpenAI’s cutting-edge GPT-4o model, allows users to interact with ChatGPT ina way that feels more like a conversation with a real person. AVM enables natural language behaviors such as interruptions and pauses, creating a more dynamic and engaging dialogue experience.
OpenAI emphasizes that AVM offers a more natural and real-time conversational experience. It can perceive and respond to user emotions in real-time, making interactions feel more intuitive and personal.
This highly anticipated feature was first rolled out tobeta testers in July and became available to paid subscribers in late September. In a tweet earlier this month, OpenAI hinted that free users would also have access to AVM, although users in the European Union (EU) with Plus and Freesubscriptions will need to wait a bit longer.
Just yesterday, OpenAI unveiled another new feature: ChatGPT web version chat history search. Users can now quickly and easily access their chat history for reference or to continue conversations from where they left off.
The introduction of AVM and chat history search marks significant advancements inChatGPT’s capabilities, enhancing its user experience and making it even more accessible and engaging. These features demonstrate OpenAI’s commitment to continuous innovation and its dedication to creating a more natural and intuitive conversational AI experience.
