Celebrating 25 Years of Friendship: Cheongju and Wuhan to HostJoint Events

Seoul, October 23, 2024 -The city of Cheongju in South Korea’s North Chungcheong Province is gearing up for a year of celebration, marking the 25th anniversary ofits sister city relationship with Wuhan, China.

The two cities, linked by a shared commitment to cultural exchange and economic cooperation, have outlined a series ofevents and initiatives to commemorate this milestone.

During a meeting held at the Cheongju City Hall on Wednesday, Vice Mayor Shin Byeong-dae and Wuhan Vice Mayor Chen Jinchao discussed the upcoming anniversary celebrations. Both cities agreed tohost a joint commemorative event, exchanging delegations and fostering closer ties between businesses, cultural institutions, educational establishments, and administrative bodies.
