Seoul to Host Seoul Welcome Week for International Tourists Next Week
Seoul, South Korea – As China’s Golden Week holiday and the peak autumn travel seasoncoincide, Seoul will host Seoul Welcome Week 2024 from October 1st to 8th, targeting international tourists, according to the SeoulMetropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization.
This initiative aims to welcome visitors with a warm embrace and showcase the city’s diverse attractions. A dedicated welcome center will be establishedat Exit 6 of Myeongdong Subway Station, offering a range of services, including:
- Tourist Information: Providing comprehensive information on Seoul’s attractions, transportation, and cultural experiences.
- Traditional Games and Crafts:Engaging visitors with traditional Korean games and offering hands-on craft experiences.
- Refreshments and Gifts: Welcoming visitors with complimentary beverages and small gifts to enhance their experience.
- Personalized Keychains: Allowing visitors to create unique keychainsby combining traditional decorative elements.
Kim Young-hwan, Director of the Seoul Tourism and Sports Bureau, emphasized the city’s commitment to creating a charming city that foreign tourists want to stay longer and revisit.
This initiative comes as Seoul strives to attract more international visitors following the easing of pandemic restrictions. The city isactively promoting its diverse cultural offerings, historical landmarks, vibrant nightlife, and delicious cuisine.
Seoul Welcome Week 2024 is expected to attract a significant number of international tourists, particularly from China, who are eager to experience the city’s unique charm.
