On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the provincial party secretary, Yi Lianhong, led a visit to several prominent figures who have made significant contributions to the revolution, construction, and reform and opening up in China. The visit aimed to commemorate their contributions and encourage the continuation of their spirit.

Visiting Honorable Figures

In a series of visits, Yi Lianhong paid a personal visit to Mr. Li Shenglan, a veteran with 78 years of party membership, who served in the liberation war and received a third-class merit award. At 95 years old, Mr. Li remains in excellent health, and Yi praised his family as a revolutionary family, a happy family, and a family of longevity. Yi emphasized that Mr. Li and others like him have made crucial contributions to the revolution and the happiness of the people, and that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. He encouraged the younger generation to uphold the loyalty and dedication of the elderly, and to continue striving for the advancement of China’s modernization.

Yi also visited national model worker and national moral model, Kong Shengdong, a former bus driver who has dedicated decades of service to passengers and the community. Yi highlighted the value of Kong’s ordinary yet noble deeds, which exemplify the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of serving the people. He encouraged Kong to continue his role as a role model and to inspire others to emulate his dedication.

In another touching visit, Yi Lianhong paid his respects to the family of the national public security system’s first-class hero model, Zhang Yelang, who tragically passed away in the line of duty. Yi expressed his condolences to Zhang’s family and encouraged them to maintain a positive attitude and optimism in life. Yi also expressed his admiration for Zhang’s daughter, who has followed in her father’s footsteps and become a police officer herself.
